any one available to have a wee look at my bike - call me paranoid, but i kinda just want someone to have a look to see if they think it is mechanically happy etc?

What do you think is wrong with it? Where in particular on the bike is worrying you?

Let us know your symptoms :D Has the bike been recently serviced? If so, what was done? If not, do you know when it was last serviced (miles AND time ago)?

There are some noises and characteristics of SV's which make owners paranoid, until they learn that its just what they do...guv.

ok guys, thanks for all your supportive posts, Its a curvy to answer one question, the guy i bought it from didn't have it loing but replace oil filter, oil and air filter, not sure when it was last serviced properly, could probably do with one now i guess.

You're possibly right about it being an SV just being an SV, but as i say, i'm a paranoid young git.

I'll give Berlin a PM and see if he can help out

As for symptoms, tight spot on new chain, clicking/tapping noise from engine, rattle coming from engine when letting the clutch out in first/second gear from go slow to list a couple.

Just want someone who knows a bit to say yeah she's fine or no she's a wreck!!lol

How often does the clicking/tapping noise happen and under what circumstances?

Is it a consistent tapping, as in every twenty seconds or just every now and again randomly?

basically when i'm riding can hear tapping /clicking coming from engine, not sure where abouts, also slightly faint when stationary, gets faster the faster I go and louder the warmer the bike gets. its driving me mad.
