Well according to a report at crash.net , spies is on a contract with the WSBK squad until the end of 2011

Although, I beleive I heard somewhere (Julian Ryder and Toby Moody on eurosport) that the contract he signed was with the yamaha factory, who have the capacity to place him where they like, within reason I suppose. His "primary mission" is to win the WSBK championship. He looks on course to acheive this objective, which would then leave him free to go into Moto GP and fight against the evil HRC empire

Remains to be seen, but I think he would be better for tech 3 than toseland (shame to say that)

My money is on him taking the tech 3 moto gp seat as he will win the wsb this year.... His contract is with Yam.... tech 3 is still yam!

And what of Toseland moving back to WSB - Where do you think he'll end up? and anyone think he'll be competitive?

I think he'll finish inside the top 10, but it'll be a struggle.

WSBK is ultra competitive at the moment. There's a couple of dozen riders that are at a level where it wouldn't really be a surprise to see them consistently at the front and/or winning, so for JT to immediately return to winning ways, even on a factory bike, would be impressive. I don't think he would.

If JT accepts he'll never return to motogp then he might as well go there if someone will pay him enough, or failing that AMA/BSB, but if he still wants to "make it" in motogp, then perhaps the rumoured move to Moto2 is a bit more likely.

the word is that he'll be doing moto 2, partnering jules cluzel in the tech 3 team.

I think moto2 would be the best move if its an option.... a decent year may see him snatch the gp seat back from CE in 2011... but he would need to improve a lot.

Yep Spies signed with Yamaha for 2 years - not necessarily in WSBK

I think JT knows his fate. He knows he needs results, strong results. top 5's, maybe podiums.

He knows he hasnt pulled that trick out of the bag, but he has some time remaining.
