Blackpool Illuminations Ride
 

Righto -

just returned from a brilliant rideout (On my own :() in the dusk/ dark. The route varied but my destination was Blackpool Prom and the Illuminations. One of the highlights included riding hard down a traffic free front at Lytham St Annes in the sunset/ dark. Had my visor up - sand dunes whipping past and my zorst giving a wicked soundtrack - my first true sense of freedom since I passed my test tbh.

So - Anyone up for a mission next week - weather permitting? Try and re create some of this magic ride I had tonight? Some really good clear A & B Roads from Preston > Blackpool - A cruise down the Illuminations/ Coffee break and then a fast pace back down some lit/ unlight roads?

One of my favourites is Southport in the dark.

I don't leave work in manchester until about 6.10pm. :(

Okay - lets leave fixing the time until we get some more firm takers and see what suits everyone. Its ideal to set off in daylight and get used to riding in a group before the dark arrives (For me anyway).

Oooo... this is tomorrow!

I've checked with the other half and have got an extended pass out for it instead of the Rivvy meet! (assuming it's still happening?)
