Legal jargon clarification required

I'm hoping someone in Org land can clarify the legal jargon on my consent order for me

The consent order discusses the maintenece payment for my 2 children

My eldest has lived with me since I left my ex and my youngest lives week about between the 2 of us
The order gives the amount payable for my eldest minus the amount for my youngest(my ex holds the child benefit for him)

As my eldest is now at uni my ex is demanding payment for my youngest which as he tells me regularly I have to cos he has the child benefit for him!

The order for payments always refers back to the payments for my eldest and that no money from me should be paid to me ex as it comes of her payment
"the Petitioner(me) shall pay or cause to pay to the Respondent(my ex)...." "for avoidance of doubt these payments are not paid direct to the Respondent(me) but are deducted from the maintenance payments made by the Respondent(my ex) to the Petitioner as detailed in the above paragraph" This paragraph discusses the payments for my eldest

No where does it explain what happens to the payments for my youngest when my ex stopped the payments for my eldest

My ex also cut short the payments for my eldest by 2 months as he stopped them in July and not not after the August one as according to the CSA payment criteria it is to be paid til the child benefit stops

If you've got this far can you advise me on what my best option is - I am half expecting a solicitors letter from him as I was not very polite when he confronted this with me in a public carpark in front of my youngest!!!

Thank you for your help

Lou
