GSXR parts
All prices
£collected / £posted Cash, cheque, paypal if you pay the fee (3% IIRC). Prices negotiable. Pictures/ any extra dimensions on request. Calipers; Old style tokico 4 pots. Same mounting pattern as SRAD6/750 so should fit TLS/TLR/busa. Pistons look fine, but the bodies are a bit scabby so could do with a strip and grease. (Includes bolts) £30 / £35 . * Mudguard; Black, OK condition, GSXR400 originally. Same mounting points as SRAD/TL again so will be good for you if you are putting GSXR stuff on SV. £35 / £40 Wheel; GSXR400 MT17x3.00" Straight. Some life in tyre, couple of marks from tyre changes. £50 / £60 Braided lines; No damage but are steel fittings, slight cosmetic rust on the banjos. Probably a bit short for a naked but should be OK on an S and almost certainly fine if you are using clipons any lower than stock. Can't be sure so buyers risk. £20 / £25 Discs; 300mm, grooved type, no visible runout (ie not warped) £45 / £50 Forks; GSXR400 type, preload adjustable upside down. Re: GSXR parts
PM sent about the calipers, just in case you're willing to ship them to Spain.
|
Re: GSXR parts
Calipers still available, as I need more recent ones (what a shame! 'cause the price of those really suited me).
Thank you anyway! |
Re: GSXR parts
Calipers temporarily unavailable. I'm using one of them.
|
Re: GSXR parts
If/when the calipers become available, I'll be interested, and they don't need to be shipped to Spain ;)

Re: GSXR parts
Nice one. They will be available when the seal kit for my SRAD calipers arrive, shouldn't be too long.
Have one side fitted at the moment, it's not dragging and appears to work fine. |
Re: GSXR parts
Good to hear. I'm about ready to bin my calipers. Stripped three times in the last two months, cleaned pistons and bores, cleaned+greased seals, then they feel awesome for about 2 weeks. Then the pistons start sticking again. A week after that I can pull the lever back to the bar on anything but the number two adjustment setting.

Re: GSXR parts
That's odd. What grease are you using?
I tried this time with a miller oils silicon grease, fair enough it's designed for use making gas tight seals assembling O rings and chevron seals and such, but it's shoite for brakes. Too slippy and allows the pistons to come back too far! |
Re: GSXR parts
Castrol red rubber. It's doing my nut in now. Clean+regrease seals, brakes are fine for a few weeks. Cable-tie the lever back overnight, they're fine for the first 2-3 pumps of the lever, then get worse quickly. It's the RHS caliper that's the bugger - if you take the calipers off and the pads out and pump the lever you can see the pistons come out a bit then retract basically the same distance. Takes ages to pump them out.
