Re: bubbles in the bottom of the glaaaaaaaaass
Think the pattern bit is a rougher texture than the rest of the bottom, etched or something. The dissolved gas is released under a lower pressure in the glass rather than the can it came from. Bubbles come from there cos the bubbles are too big to sit within the tiny imperfections in the glass and squeeze themselves out. It doesn't happen elsewhere because enough is released from the pattern to expell the gas as it comes out of solution.

Re: bubbles in the bottom of the glaaaaaaaaass
the patterns are put on the glasses to aid the forming of bubbles, to stop the beer going flat after 2 mins, as it is crap beer nowadays, and as gg said they have been out for years and years, you must have been too ****ed to notice, lol. :) edit or cider .lol

However, please explain why the pattern becomes harder to distinguish as the night progresses - is it the calorific value of light as it gets darker? Or has it anything to do with the alcohol? |
