I need a new career

I'm so sick of being a sparky. I need a new career but I don't have a clue what I want to do :(

I really want to get out of the construction industry. But I don't know what else I could do that will pay as well. There isn't really anything that doesn't involve going back to college and getting more qualifications. Which means no money to move out of the parents house and get my own place. Which is something I really need to do.

Oh and I also want to move to Australia!
God knows what I could do there though, I'll just be in the same situation but in an unfamiliar place.

I better buy some more lottery tickets.....

Look for a career development loan.

They are well worth a look and really do help towards getting more qualifications.
If your a subbie at the moment, the repayments can be lost as a "tax perk" ;)

At 23 you can still get a Australian working holiday visa. You don't need a job to get one and it allows you to stay for a year and work (no more than 6 months at one place though). It is pretty cheap to get and after the age of 31 you lose you entitlement to it so might as well use it while you can :)

Just seems like a good way to see if you will like living/working in Oz, without having to make an expensive or serious commitments.

Yeh that's what I'm planning to do. Go over for maybe 6 months and see what I can get.

Because we dig stuff out of the ground and sell it to China as the basis of our economy, we've weathered the GFC better than most, so it's probably quite a good time to try it out, cost of living's lower here (but so probably are the wages). Maybe PM LM. ^
