Fitting a new (stronger) spring to the ZX10r shock?
Hi All
Ina split second decision I dived in and bought a 08/09 zx10r shock on ebay. After buying it I note after searching on here that the spring is probably going to be soft for me! D'oh! So I was going to sell it again and hold out of a 04/05 one, but wondered how much a new spring is and where to get one from? Further to that are there any special tools needed or can you just unwind it whilst using spring clamps etc? Many thanks |

Wind the preload all the way off and see what it looks like.
But you will then have a shock which is short on rebound damping. |

Still waiting for the shock to arrive. So does anyone know where i can just order a rear shock spring from? I've used Eibach in the past but they dont seem to do bike springs in the UK anymore? I dont live far from Hagons thinking about it, perhaps they'll sell or fit a spring for me?
