japanese CD player
Does anyone know if in japan their CDs are a different format to ours, like a PAL thing?
I have a japanese CD player in my car which was fitted well before it was imported. It doesnt play CDs, when i load one it gives me a message in japanese and stays silent. Im gonna change it at somepoint, but in the mean time it would be nice to be able to play CDs. |
Re: japanese CD player
CD's are CD's mate. I have a Japaneese CD player (Sony disk man) my old man bought me from Tokyo years back and it plays CD's fine, even CDR's. It was designed for in car use with a mount plate, so I can't see why yours wouldn't unless it is saying "no disk" ie your lens or motor are sh*gged. do you have a Japaneese mate who can translate ;-) seriously though, I imagine it's an error message due to a fault somewhere.

Could be a "Super Audio CD", a format that never really took off. However you know how the Japanese are at being early adopters of new technology. See here for info. Do you have a model number for the player? |
