Dead electrics - no lights, display or alarm.

The story so far .. came back a couple of days ago from work where it rained all day. Came to the bike the following day and the disarm worked as usual but no display on dash. Pressed fob sever times single flash double flash on off parking light position but still nothing.

Measured the battery using multimeter with 12.67 v steady. Then had a bright idea of connecting it up to bike charger.

The bike charger said it was fully charge as soon as I connected it..I reconnected everything and now there is any alarm flash I then left for work

After reading a few threads here and trying out the SK reseating the terminals and checking swapping the spare 30a fuse. I opened the fuse box and pried out all the mini fuses to check.

Check the voltage and was about 12.6v. I tried jump starting by connecting up to car when engine off and still nothing.

Have disconnected the power commander and electric chain oiler.

Any suggestion gratefully received..also will be on the look out for a bike as catching the train is seriously getting me down.. ( peugeot speedfight was an almost desperation buy until I realised 50cc was gonna take 2hrs to ride to work and I might be dicing with death on the a13)

So you've tried replacing the 'ignition' fuse?
Depending on your alarm there's also a fuse in there (my datatool's a 10), could it be batterys on your fob or is it flashing ok on the fob?

any sounds at all when you press the starter button? And as Dave says above, did you check both the 30amp fuses under the pod by the riders seat? Not too clear form the above info if you did.

Think the main fuse is a 30 (the second is a spare) and then in your other fuse box you have an assortment of 10s and 15s, the one marked 'ignition' would take out your digi display etc.
Had a few interesting rides without the ignition fuse inplace, every time the tiltswitch in the alarm tilted to break the circuit my alarm would go off and I'd lose various electrical bits. One time I didn't like twisty roads...

It is a spare but i know some twit who took out the spare one first thinking it was the main fuse, checked it was ok and put it back...and never bother checking the other thinking that must be the spare...and spent hours trying to figure out what the hell was wrong.

yes that twit was me, hence i now always say to people "check em both" to avoid doing what i did

have checked the 30a green fuse and swapped with the spare. The bike is dead as a proverbial dodo. The mini fuses 10 /15 have been popped out check and back in. Did put a multimeter to check the current and it sparked when touching the contact and the leads got a bit hot so removed almost insant..I guess there must be some charge in the battery..

I very much doubt it's lack of charge in the battery. The little fuses aren't as obvious to seen when blown as the 30s (hence why I was riding round with no ignition fuse ) but if you're getting no response from the starter button sounds like it's something else (or a couple of fuses). Could it be your alarm locking you out, like I said there's a fuse in there.
