adjusting pre load rear
 
hi all,
can someone tell me if adjusting the preload on rear suspension on 07 sv650s k7 is a big job as my tip toe only touch ground and i need it lower to have more control ?

You need to lower the bike height , not alter the suspension pre-load setting.

change your dog bones

as tim sais, altering the preload, does not alter the height of the bike, only the ammount the suspension moves.

Longer ones lower the bike, shorter ones raise it.

Preload might help a bit, but it's a bodge.

Good advice from everyone there - assuming the preload is correct presently.

If not, then there may be some lowering of the bike when it's set right.
