The time has come

To think about going to Scotland next year.
Several dates that may be relevant
31/5-May Bank Holiday
21/6-Longest day
24/6-Mid Summers Day
26-27/6 GM ride-out in Scotland

Firstly,who is interested?
Second,When?End of May begining June-mid June-end of June
Thirdly,How long for

Choices being, incorporate the May Bank Holiday saving you one day of annual leave
Do you want to go to the GM and have our tour after utilizing the GM as part of the tour, allowing anybody from down South to ride up as a group.
Alternatively have our tour before the GM then join in if so desired, allowing you to ride back as part of the group going back down South
Be in the area of the G.M.to socialize in the evening.
Plan our tour irrelevant of the G.M.and its dates.
As in the past utilize Youth Hostels from day to day or perhaps have some double days to take in the local ambiance as tourists with minimum riding for a day.
Would there be one particular thing you would want to do or see?

Thought please participants

Open to all Essex loungers

That gets my vote. I don't think my vote should count by the way, but there it is. :)

Essex Lounge is an event for me, GM is an event for me, if you combine them I lose an event. :(

Our double day in Skye was great this year, but that's because Skye was great I think. Not sure Thurso would've had quite the appeal and in general I like to keep moving.

As for what to see, as much of Scotland as I've never seen before...

as long as it does not involve lighthouses and gravel tracks i am fairly flexible...agree with tiggy-poos we should plan irreleveant of GM. If we happen to pass like ships in the night then so be it.
