High rev miss fire

I have a 1999 SV650 naked that I am using to comute to work. On the two days this week I have had a hesitancy and misfire at higher revs. Plus a loss of power through the whole range. It has been cold near freeezing and foggy. Could it be carbs icing? Any ideas?

Deffo the season for carb icing. Try a glug of surgical spirirt or IsaPropynolAlcolhol (IPA) in the tank and see if it cures it. Both are available from your local Pharmacy.

If you try surgical spirit ask for one with that isn't made by Care+ (see pic below) as that has a high castor content and isn't as effective.

Boots have surgical spirit on the shelf for about £3.00 or you can get smaller bottles for about £1.50. IPA, unles bought in bulk is typically more expensive than SS from Phrarmacys.
