anyone found ARGOS expencive this year?
 

Ive had lots of encounters with Argos the past few weeks whilst doing abit of Christmas shopping for the kids and everything seems really expensive!

the camera i looked at and purchased was £100 more expensive in Argos?

my daughter wants a LG cookie touch screen mobile on the virgin network for Christmas and in Argos its £100, in the car phone warehouse its £59!

I've had the reverse experience - the price in the catalog has been more than in the shop, which has been more than the price that they've asked me to pay at the till.

Yes,
wife was going to buy a Dsi for eldest daughter at Argos, but it was a lot cheaper at Amazon

I think its because they had a good reputation for being cheap so people still go there and buy stuff without looking around.

I thought that, in years gone by ppl just rely on ARGOS and know if they shop there the prices will be competitive, i think the £10 voucher if you spend over £100 is blinding people!

oooooh yea the camera i lost Casio Exilim z-100 £129.99 Argos - £90 ASDA!

Seriously its not. Argos own Homebase, and Homebase lost 500million last year!! They need to recoup money somewhere, so pass it onto customers unfortunately. They are just in process of getting rid of 300 showroom managers from Homebase....saving rather a lot of money.

I got myself a bluray player at the weekend & both Currys & The Sony Shop were £50 cheaper than Argos + The Sony Shop were including three discs, obviously i bought it from Argos. :D
