sv2005s soft front end?
I have just sold my 2001 sv650s 20k and replaced it with a 2005 sv650s 7k
The front end seems to bang when i hit minor pot holes where as my 2001 model seemed to pass over the same bumps fine? I have sat on the bike and rocked it forward and back to see if i can replicate the noise but all seems fine? No bang ect.... |

Hydraulic lock.

Re: sv2005s soft front end?
It's unlikely to be either of those above *. I'd suggest it's just the standard weak springs the SV comes fitted with, in all probabillity your previous SV had had the "oil & Spring" change already and your new one requires it.
*always possible of course, but SV's are know for there under sprung front ends as standard. Cheers Mark. |

It's the fork oil in the damper rods, but it really does sound like clunky bearings.;)

Re: sv2005s soft front end?
just turn up ur preload and it wont clunk!!..

Re: sv2005s soft front end?
Is the clunking actually detrimental to handling?
