spring rate calculation

had a look around and on racetech but still confused.

im looking to get a gsxr shock but need to work out what spring to go for im 85kg with my kit on.

also trying to find other sizes for shocks i.e k6 7? i think it was the k7 that had the frame change so the shock is shorter

any ideas?

Re: spring rate calculation

If you change the spring on a gsxr shock to what it should be for an SV your damping will be way off, I did it but to a Penske shock and there was litraly 0 rebound dampingeven when it was cranked up, so i had to get it revalved

im not sure if its as bad on a pointy as it was on a curvey though

Re: spring rate calculation

hmm am i best off trying to match a gsxr shock to the sv then and leave it with that spring on?

i dont want to change dogbones and mess with the 2-1 ratio
