Tyre Choice help. Posted this in another forum didn't get much back.

Ah the joy of London roads, got a slow puncture last night, not that i noticed until this morning when the SV wouldn't move, look down and there it was, or wasn't anymore. ](*,)
So had to get back on the push bike, flew into work as the wind was behind me, not in it usual way either.
However was looking at my tyres at the weekend, front is ok, back looked a little worn, so was thinking of getting new rubber anyway. (Just not so quickly was holding out to pay day)

At the mo going for the BT020's

So guys and girlies, first time changing rubber on the sv....
Should I
Get just the rear?
Or get both front and back?
Get the BT020's?

I loved my current Bridgestones but cant help argue with myself that I'm probably getting them because the big boys use them in GP.
I've heard alot about the Michelin Road Pilots and the METZ 04's.
Can anybody advise me otherwise with what works for them?
Bare-in-mind i commute everyday in central London (loads of crap on road twisting in and out of traffic, never reaching much over 40mph and lots of braking)
Couriers if you reading any preferred brand or make?
Otherwise the BT020's will be the choice. :riding:

yeh a good tyre section where there is loads of advice, opinions and debate is here.
I recently put a dual compound Avon Viper on the rear and its been a damn good tyre on london's roads in wet and dry and even did a great job on a trackday at Cadwell.

Where's your bike? if you want help repairing the puncture. Then you can choose at your leisure.

Metz 04's - Are they Z4's? Original fitment on the curvy avoid at all cost apparently but the Z6 is great

Z4s yeah thats what i meant....
Its on the path to my gaff at the mo, thinking of just using a bit of tyre weld then get it to a shop nearby or just outside south london. Don't want to chance anything either.
I have just be advised about the Pirelli Diablos as well.

Great tyre,i think for the sv the diablo strada might be the one to go for, think the corsa3,rosso,or supercorsa are a bit overkill on the sv....though someone may well correct me on that???
