Lost Dipped Beam on K3

Tonight as I started my bike to come home, the lights came on and after a second or two I lost dipped beam. Main beam and the side lights still work.

I am guessing a fuse has gone, I have no idea where they are located on a K3.

Where are the fuses located on a K3, also, is there a relay that could have failed?

Thanks
Tim

hmm i doubt it more the like bulb as gone and yes this means it will still work on full beam as there are two difforent elements in the bulb

so you have a naked or a s ?

Not both bulbs at the same time, very unlikely.

I think the ignition switch may have bought it! The last couple of days it has got difficult to turn. I tried to free it up with some oil, (I know you are not supposed to use oil), it usually works. It feels more like something is jamming it and then frees off and then sticks again.

Does the SV suffer from the ignition switch breaking up?

Tim

Well.... i would probably say thats your answer (yes ok i know dominator lights etc etc)

I dunno about the fuse, could be a dodgy earth, or perhaps a fault in the switch gear, some one else will probably be along soon with more info

The ignition wiring plug (and a few other wires) often over heats this is (lift the tank) infront of the airbox and green, check it. Also a connector block somewhere in the screen plastics. Take your side infill panels off and your riders seat and you'll see the fuse box (kind of sheltered under the pillion seat) check ya fuses.

fuse box would be my first port of call as it's easy and I do believe that's the same on both the naked and the S ;)
