Bad weather bike?
 

Is it me or does everyone elese bike give up with the bad weather.

The first frosty morning , which was Monday and the bike stutters all the way in to work which I put down to carb icing so popped in some Pro FST. Bike runs great again until today my curvy sits out in the bad rain during work hours and when I start her up she stutters and struggles all the way home. I was running for about 20 mins and it made no odds. Do these bikes ever run without trouble? I was glad to see the back of my old VFR when I sold it but I am beginning to hate this peice of **** Suzuki....

I have new irradium plugs in, I sprayed holts Dampstart down the hole when I changed the plugs 500 miles ago.

Is it just water or can it be the Reg/rec again.

checked carbs 3 weeks ago and they were fine.

have u a fender ext fitted?...if not get one on asap, makes a diff;)..i ride my bikes all weathers inc bad snow and dont suffer these problems

+1 fender extender makes a hugh difference

Otoh, I only had issues once without one. That was just because I hadn't put the cap back on properly.

Would have prevented stripping the paint off the front of the engine mind. ;-)

ride in all weathers, no probs with sv so far, crossed fingers

ride in all weathers, have done for last 6yrs now. Old curvy never let me down, only when we had freezing fog did it cough and splutter a bit but some FST sorted that out.

If you aint got a fenda extender just slap a good bit of suitable grease round the front plug lead in the hole for time being.
Oh and FST in the tank if its a curvy.

check your HT leads then. Could be corroded inside the sheath and reducing power to plugs?
