Re: Rear shock to fit K3 650?
no problem, this does raise the rear 8mm to add sharper steering not that 8mm is noticeable, on the sv as stock the steering is fairly slow so raising the tail is actually a good thing as the steering speed is increased making the bike handle better, i have the back raised another 30mm on top of the 8mm of the shock and the front forks lowered 5mm (same effect as raising the rear) all in the name of better handling that with higher rear sets completely changes the feel of the bike for the better in my opinion
PS shock cost me £55 inc P&P dog bones to add 30mm £15 inc p&p lowering forks was free (droped the tripples 5mm) |
Re: Rear shock to fit K3 650?
there are plenty of threads on shocks. I believe any GSXR shock should go on with a new bolt and nut from your local dealers for the apprpriate GSXR shock.
Grease linkages while your there too as it will be dry. Also be prepared to cut the edge off the battery box to fit it although on a K3 i think you can jiggle it around and it will all fit together. |
