Milestone Reached Today - Debt Free (almost)
 

My entire life seems to have revolved around being in debt. Overdrafts, credit cards, loans....blah, blah, blah.

Then when I got divorced I got into some major debt. It was all worth it by the way, not the divorce, but the spending of the cash to cheer myself up.

Anyhow, debt has always been a bit of a millstone round my neck, but last night I got my last credit card bill and paid it off.

So now I have no outstanding credit cards and I am in the black on my current account. It's a weight off I can tell you. Credit cards are now cut up. If I can't afford it, I can't have it.

Only another 22 years to go on the mortgage.

Dunno Kate. Loadsa stuff. With the 2 credit cards I have and my overdraft facility I have 15 grands worth of credit I can get. Scary huh?

Well done that man!

I've never used a credit card, so essentially I just have my student loan and the Mortgage. Not that either of those are insignificant, but I saw way too many people burn money they didn't have when I was younger, it's taken some of them years to get back on level ground.

So good on you and hopefully you can manage your money a little more freely now:D
