What a day
I don't believe that anyone has had a worse day.
Two work matters have gone wrong and need a lot of repair. After work I went to Ellesmere to fetch Sophie home from shooting. Anne called me on the way back, S took the call, dad it's urgent, please pull over. One of my best people is resigning. Grrr. Gives me a severe headache. At home, cat has brought a live mouse into the house. Leaving cat to kill it, I discovered a huge pile of liquid cat poo over the cables for the speakers. Needs cleaning up. Yuk. Cat lost interest in the mouse so now we have a live mouse in the house. So we started hunting for it. Anne pushed the TV forwards to see if it was behind that, and suddenly an enormous crash as the TV fell off the stand and face down onto the floor. Glass everywhere:rolleyes: Turned out if had caught the glass door to the unit on the way down, and that was the glass, not the screen. Wife thinks I'm unsympathetic so we then had a row. Who'd want to be me!!!! |

9 minutes after your reply to Paul the 6th's thread! Do you never learn?
By the way, hope it looks better in the morning ( some things do ) |
Re: What a day
Resigning, in a recession?!
Sorry to hear this Ed. If you like whiskey, I've made a ginger wine that goes very well with it and can send you some if you like ;) |
Re: What a day
Its all your own fault Ed. ;)
Actually, with the ct/mouse thing...if the cat brough ti to you live it was a preent to show its love, respect and place in the pack. You should have picked it up, gave the kitty some love and when it wasn't watching tossed the mouse out the window! Then you wouldnt have dropped the telly and all that came. Still would have had to clean up the wet poo tho but to make you feel better on that account...my cat did the same, on my duvet!!!! Had to strip the sheets off, spray some febreeze on it to get rid of the stink a bit before i chucked it all in the washing machine. Then take the duvet to local dry cleaners on the bike. And all this just as i stepped out the shower and was looking forward to chilling on the bed and having a smoke. Bloody cats, lol. |
Re: What a day
Happy thoughts and lots of encouraging smiles from the BP household.
Can I just ask though, you say you were collecting Sophie from shooting? Can she not shoot the mouse? And can I send you a CV for the job opening you have? Pete ;) |

I had to sit through a course all day yesterday, thinking "do I feel queasy yet?" and sure enough, just before I it finished I did. I then had to drive down the M1 & M62 from Barnsley to home which took an hour and a half, desperately trying to not throw up or **** myself. Made it home, ran in the door and straight upstairs to the loo and have been chundering on an hourly basis since. |

Hope things are better for you this morning Ed and the mouse didn`t keepyou awake. I suggest starving the cat for a few days and he`ll then go off in search of food. |

"Every day is a nice day, its just that some are nicer than others."
If you wake up in the morning. Stretch, and don't knock against wood its not a bad day. |
