Re: Numbness in hands
Might be worth getting your throttle bodies balanced.

Re: Numbness in hands
Hmmm, may also be worth getting checked out at the Doctor!!

Re: Numbness in hands
It could be you are hgolding on to tight; this might be because you are cold (I notice I hold on tighter when I'm cold) or just because you are straddling the bike incorrectly (so to speak). Try gripping the tank more with your legs, and relaxing your upper body and hands :)

Re: Numbness in hands
This was an issue i had when i got my bike, does get easier after time but i done a handlebar conversion on mine in the end and hardly get any now.
I just couldnt cope with the clip ons as being tall and heavy i was putting too much weight on my wrists. Gripping tank and all the other advice does help so try it. |
Re: Numbness in hands
I used to get that quite bad, you need to grip with your knees more.
It can 'allegedly' lead to serious side effects such as carpal tunnel syndrome if you don't sort it. |
Re: Numbness in hands
As has been said it's probably a mixture of things, make sure your levers are adjusted right, so the wrists aren't bent to much, relax your grip and by gripping with your knees take some of the weight threw your lower back, all these things help, but it's normal for it to take some time to get used to the postition anyway.
Cheers Mark. |
Re: Numbness in hands
It may be an idea to have some heated grips fitted. This will alow you to ride with summer gloves. May not solve but will help.
