How are your winter chicken strips?
I've noticed that since winter I have some pretty FAT ar$e chicken strips... Though I got to say that having a new tyre (a Pilot Power 2ct of all things) that really should be used in warmer dryer temps put on right before it got really cold so not run in... Basically im too chicken to push it with the weather and tyre at the moment.
So any of you lot got 2" slugs on the side of the tyre's? |
Re: How are your winter chicken strips?
What chicken strips?!
I didn't take mine out through the crap weather so didn't end up with any :) |
Re: How are your winter chicken strips?
+1 Saving my nonexistent ones for better weather:)

Re: How are your winter chicken strips?
Actually I have the exact reverse, no great skill or riding ability though, merely the fact that riding on snow and Ice I had 25 psi in both tyres for a bigger footprint :smt102

Re: How are your winter chicken strips?
Not even worth thinking about! In winter, your chicken strips are the bit of tyre you can see on the side that doesn't have 1/2 inch of compacted snow over it

Re: How are your winter chicken strips?
Mine have been on for ages so haven't changed over winter, I seem to have worn the sides of my PR2's out before the rest though, still got chicken strips but meh. just got two baldish rings around the tyre, will get it swapped out soon, its done 15k.
I thought the winter might square it off and even it up a bit but the centre stuff does seem much more resistant. Anyone else get that? |
