Icy weather back again
 

Hope everyone made it safely to work, had fun on my way. Saw it had snowed a little overnight but my road is a dead end so doesn't get gritted, the yard was ok so got the bike up and onto the road. Took it steady along the fresh bit and hoped the bigger road was better, only a little, got onto the main road (A41) which is usually fine, gave a little bit of acceleration to test the grip and the back wheel instantly broke loose. wobbles, shut the throttle but not even enough grip to get the rear rolling again. Clutch in, ease it out and we're back, took the rest of the journey VERY carefully. Felt like riding 14 miles on a 6 inch wide oily plank. Definite concentration tester hehe.

I really should get a winter hack so I'm not so bothered about sliding it, don't have crash bungs yet either so any drop could be nasty.

Ah well, hope everyone else had luck as good as mine.

Our road is covered in frozen snow, it has never seen a gritter. I came in the car. Choice of Merc or Clio is easy. The Merc goes sideways, the Clio goes forwards.

Barely a sniff of snow down south, but I took the car anyway. Main roads were fine, but my road was a bit slippy.

I'm venturing back out on them shortly, think the winter sun has melted most of it away. I don't have a car to turn to unless my wife's school is closed and then I can steal hers :)

I nearly rode to work this morning & glad I din't now. Shropshire Council want a red hot poker shoving where the sun dont shine. The roads were atrocious on the way to work. Feel for you Brettus, glad I was in the cage :)

I slithered into the Staff Carpark a bit Sideways this morning at 6 , I fair pappered my pants I can tell ya

drive and all roads are frozen not going out on the bike as i havent long got it back on the road
