fitting oxford humpback panniers

Ok so as we all know Oxford luggage is universal ish lol, does anybody have humpbacks on there pointy and if so have you come up with a nice secure method of fixing ?

OR

do you know of any sites that have a fitting guide?

i got my set of '07 panniers from the Busters offer but it didnt come with any kind of fitting guides so any help or advice would be awesome

You'll notice that the outer straps are highet than the middle strap. Middle strap under seat outer straps over seat.

A couple of bungee cords.. hook on the front of the pannier then go under the hooks on pillion pegs and hook onto opposite pannier at the back.

Drape a small towel (or similar) over the rear seat then put the luggage on otherwise you risk damaging your paint as the bags will move about a bit when you're on the go.

Oxford do THESE, but you can buy a 1m roll of very similar stuff from most £ stores and cut it to shape.

Yes I should have mentioned that as well.. You cant see in photo but I have rubber matting across the seat/fairing to stop rubbing or scratching of paint.

Ahhhh cool i was a little worried about the paint to be honest, do i have to cut to allow for the seat closing or will it just muscle its way shut through the blanket?

I cut a square so that I could get access to the storage under seat and also to make sure that the seat opened and closed properly.

Anyone had a pillion on the back whilst having these on? Taking a trip to ireland later in the year and will be using these with a pillion.
