first, post this sort of question in bike talk and issues or sv talk and tweeking (but your new so dont worry)
2nd, buy what you can afford ,what sort of budget have you
3rd, road legal ones do just as well for noise as non legal so think is it worth the hastle (and fine) if pulled
4th, youtube is quite good to hear loads of differnt cans on sv's type sv650 exhaust and listen to the results
hth

Personally i like the sound of scorpians, sounds a classy growl rather than a rough racket like some.
Just my humble opinion and biased as i have one ;)

I like the sound of the beowulfs...which is why I got one! :)

All depends what you want to spend. There was quite a few others I considered, Yoshi's etc, but couldn't warrant spending that much.

Exhausts are easy to fit yourself.

Exhausts are easy to fit yourself.

Remember if you do decide to fit Beowulfs that you don't actually touch the exhaust, look at the exahust or fit the exhaust as doing so will cause it to break and void your warranty ;)

I like my Blue Falme exhaust. Bought it off a fellow orger. There are often second hand ones on here or on ebay so if you have a limited budget a second hand good quality exhaust could be better value than a brand new budget one.

This is how much of an improvement it makes :D
