Re: who went to mcn motorcycle show ?
I went on Friday and I thought it was poor. £14 a ticket for what was more or less a large shop. There was no signage to the bike parking on Friday and there was loads of bike riding about trying to find where it was.
On the plus side I did get a cheaper XR1100 that I wanted. |

Went with some friends yesterday - was after some new bike gear and the money I saved easily covered the cost of the ticket. Other than that, not hugely impressed with the show although it was fun getting all nostalgic about rd350 and the suzuki katana (always wanted one of them, could never afford it!).

Re: who went to mcn motorcycle show ?
I went saturday. Got a textile jacket for £40. Im under no illusions that its going to be any good, but as long as it lasts until i get some money from the insurace co it will be fine. Also got a deal on an RX7GP - £160 off and being held at the store to collect until next saturday...again, dependent on the insurace.
AS for the show, i went to the NEC and London. They were both as good/bad as each other. If you are going to buy kit, then its great. If youa re going to sit on bikes, then not so great. Honda didnt even have the VFR1200, and Suzuki wernt there either. The £18 entry fee wasa bit steep, but i knew that before going so my choice. AS for people who say it was crap, what were you really expecting, and thats a serious question not a flipant remark. Every bike show i have been to is much of a muchness for that kind of thing. I'll admit the Ally Pally gave it bit more style and made it more firendly if you know what i mean. Oh, and i didnt see one decent pair of legs on a brolly dolly all day, and trust me i was looking! |
Re: who went to mcn motorcycle show ?
I was comparing it to the last 2 Bikesafe shows that have been at Hendon which had free entry and free parking with most of the bikes on display and most of there sellers there too.
The next ones in Sheffield. |
Re: who went to mcn motorcycle show ?
I was there on Saturday. I was the idiot that fell off trying to ride away. :-)
