Carb question
Hi guys, I had the carbs off my bike for a while and when I put it back on the bike recently I realized a few problems. The Choke doesnt lock anymore, when you pull the choke on it just flicks straight back . . I'm not sure if this is a problem with the cable or something in the carbs? Does anyone know about this? Also the throttle seems to be sticking when it returns . . if you pull it on then it will slowly move back . . I'm guessing this could just need some lubing . . I have a feeling the carbs got a little damaged as I may not have stored them properly . .
Any help is much appreciated :D Ant.! |
Re: Carb question
The 'lock' on the choke is a friction lock at the lever, have a look at that.
If you get the return cable too tight it locks the throttle and prevents it returning properly, back it right the way off, get the correct pull slack and then adjust the return cable making sure that the throttle snaps shut on both right and left lock. Druid |
