Dear sv560.org,

We are students of Oxford Brookes University based at the Oxford Cherwell Valley College in Bicester, studying an undergraduate Motorsport Performance and Automotive Technology course.

As part of an extracurricular project, students from our course have created a rally team named SBO Racing (Students of Brookes and OCVC Racing), in which we intend to enter the 205 Challenge. This is a national competition and will be held throughout 2010. We are receiving support from both the college and university, who are allowing us to use thier equipment, vehicles and facilities.

We are writing to you as we are asking if any companies wish to be involved in the project and possibly sponsor us throughout the competition. Ideally a budget of £6000 is needed in total, we are asking if anyone is intersted and what they feel they would like to offer. In return for your investment your company name and logo will be on our: vehicle, driver, co-driver, pit crew and all team clothing.

All of the above will be seen at all stage events and articles we hope to have within all local publications along with coverage through the 205 Challenge website and spectators.

On the 11th of Feb they are having a media day at the college. And the kids have also secured sponsorship from Nicky Grist, the late Colin McRae's co-driver who has started his own company selling motorsport equipment.

This team means a lot to the kids, mainly because if they pull this off they will be the only student run rally team in the UK to have done so. For them it means a guaranteed foothold in the very competitve world of Motorsport.
