Help- from techy people

I'm trying to connect my X-box to my telly via a HDMI cable. It's normally connected with the compenent leads and when i try with the HDMI all i get is 'Input mode not supported'. Ive changed the output on the Xbox with 480 720 1080i 1080p and none of them seem to work.

As i havnt got anything else HD is there something i am missing or forgetting to do?

Use compenent its a better picture, so why change.

realy...sure....
component is analogue video and currently only goes upto 1080i

looking at the manual it should just work have you got input detection enabled and im guessing its a 22inch ? (dosent say) im bettingyou can only recive 720p

Yeah, 22".

No idea if i have input detection enabled. But ive manually swithed the input to HDMI, if thats what it does?

^ yup thats what it does and set the xbox to 720p out ? and still no go? bad cable ?
