What front seat for a K1 model?
 

With any luck this should have a pic of the 1999 K1 I picked up yesterday.

It needs a good clean, new fork seals and a new, higher seat as the one on it is shaved - if anyone's got one, get in touch.

It's also been lowered so I need to get some standard length dog bones and drop the forks back through the yoke.

And as for those hideous handlebars - well what can I say, other than bye bye very soon...

Well pleased with it though.

The K1 (1999) I've just bought has a shaved front seat. The previous owner was only 4ft 11" tall.

How late can I go model-wise to get a replacement off FleaBay?

Would a K3 seat fit - in fact would any 'curvy' seat fit?

You're probably also going to need a shorter brake line and clutch cable.

I've got no stock dogbones, but I do have some jack up ones if you're interested. £20 + post

Swap you for the bars! LOL!

Do the dog bones bolt straight on or do you need any other mods with them?

Fork springs would be an idea but not essential

Other than that they bolt straight in

My local shop reckons he may have some in his spares bin from a previously lowered bike but if he doesn't come up with the goods I'll come back to you. How high does it jack the bike up (over standard?) Chris?

Dunno, will measure if you are interested. Think it was 30mm or so
