You know the talk that Jane @ Essential Rubber gives you after you pay for your new tyre?

No, not that one...

The one about scrubbing in tyres - remember it now?

Ok so it was Colin that actually gave the instructions.

Well even if you DO listen, turning right, onto the hatched lines on a damp, greasy road can still get you.

Yep I joined the "New Tyre, bike on its side on the road" club yesterday...

Damage to the bike was minimal - bent gear lever - fixed with the help of a spanner-wielding Colin, and a bent Clutch Lever - which as I already had one of those I chanced straightening it, and did not too bad a job, as Colin put it "Those Zed's crash well, dont they?"

As for me, achey ribs and hip on the left side, starting to fade so all good.

Oh and for extra comedy value, I only threw the bike at a van load of Cops.

No other road-users were harmed in the making of this comedy moment...

David, you twit ;)

I remember mentioning to Colin when I had new tyres a while ago that they had told me three times in as many minutes to take it easy as I left. His response was something along the lines of, "Yes, but you'd still be amazed how many idiots bin it right outside!" :p

Yeah, although he said that its the 1st time someone has done it in the wet, its usually Sunny Summer Days... (and I will accept he may have been trying to make me feel better)

So I asked that if they have a list of muppets, can they put a (W) next to my name like they do for wet laps on Top Gear...

So how come it's me that gets a ticket for not being in control of my bike for not crashing it? :smt068(@ Surrey Police not you Dave)
