The '22' in South Africa. The speeds are in km/h. National speed limit is 120km/h. 290km/h would land you in front of a magistrate with a very hefty fine and/or jail sentence to follow. If you came off on your own, only the vultures would find you. And you'd definitely not make it to hospital within the 'golden hour'. But hey, just check out them twisties!!!:smt038

Think that Melody may have come across that, on her trip to SA last year. If not reckon she might again in April.

Nice, but i think there are better roads than that in France and the Alps. Better surface, scenery and corners.

Have you ridden both to be able to sufficiently make a reasonable judgement on that?

No, but it is just my opinion. Other people may prefer this one.

Although i'm sure the video doesn't do justice to this road neither do the many of the Alps. It's just a comparable thing.

I have a feeling the newzealand road would be better for sportsbikes than an SV. The guy's speedo was reading 150+ most of the time.

Just checked with a mate who lives near Sabie and the speed limit on that road is 100kph...

So 290kph would land you in the back of a police van and in front of a magistrate within the hour...:riding: ;)
