Re: Parking at city airport
Anyway, firm is paying for a car parking, so I'll leave the bike at home - not ideal when I haven't bought the bike yet...

Re: Parking at city airport
I parked there once, very nice carpark and a few lamposts you can chain up to no problem.
If you do go by bike Thor, the best bit of advice i was given was this. Wait till you get in the airport and find the nearest cleaner. Ask them for a bin bag. They are clear ones for security reasons. Once you have one of these dump all your bike gear in it, lid, jacket, torusers, boots gloves, the lot and take it to the left luggage place. They charge you £10 for each "item" left and if you dump all your gear in a see thru bag they count it as one item as opposed to handing them in all separately and being charged about £100 for it all. I was advised to do this by a guy who works there and is a biker himself and was well chuffed not to have to carry all that gear away and back with me when i didnt need to, so i managed to go on my work trip with just a tankbag. Re: Parking at city airport
ah good tip! Thanks!
I had a look and it is a good facility. Big, right outside the terminal, well lit, rail for your chain and covered. The place is crawling with cops so pretty safe I think. |
