GSXR upside down forks. Yet again.
This might sound like an amateur question but i have been told that you can put GSXR upside down forks on the sv650's is this true? If so which model and year of GSXR will i need the front forks off for my sv650s K1 2001 model?

Re: GSXR upside down forks!!!
Yes it's absolutely true and if you search for 'GSXR front' you'll find loads of threads about how to do it. As for which year forks, you are a little limited IIRC with the curvy, but no doubt those who have already done this will be along soon to give chapter and verse.

Re: GSXR upside down forks!!!
See the search button, use it. :)
Plenty fit, I now have GSX-R1000K5/6 for example http://www.fastdruid.co.uk/albums/SV...80DSC05704.JPG Prior to that I had 'busa http://www.fastdruid.co.uk/albums/SV...80DSC04220.JPG But GSX-R600K6 onwards and GSX-R750K6 onwards are probably the best. Druid |

Re: GSXR upside down forks. Yet again.
have anyone fitted gsxr 1000 k1/2 forks to 05 svs, and is top/bottom yoke conversion necessary?

Re: GSXR upside down forks. Yet again.
Here's my front end its from a 1991/1992 GSXR 750 L or M.
Obviously not as good as the later forks, but better than stock. One advantage is that this years yoke uses the same headstock bearings as the Sv Mine also has a special wheel spindle, so I can use the Sv front wheel. I've just finished it off, so more pictures in a seperate thread. http://forums.sv650.org/picture.php?...pictureid=4062 |
Re: GSXR upside down forks. Yet again.
Easiest to fit is complete SRAD setup.

Re: GSXR upside down forks. Yet again.
My friend has K1/2 front forks with calipers and can shift them cheap... hopefully. That would be nice start, getting top/bottom yoke, wheel is not a problem from what I see. What I'm worried about is that when I get it all it just wont fit.. and I don't have a garage where I can keep the bike in bits
