1963 Lambretta Li125 Series 3
I have decided to sell my beloved scoot due to the fact im not using as much since getting my SV.

It has an official Lamretta club of Great Britain dating certificate, confirming its engine and frame numbers are correct. Good bits, Had a shed load of money spent on it since being imported by the previous owner, practically everything mechanical has been replaced / reconditioned. Runs very well, starts very well (which is encouraging if you have ever owned a lambretta before as they were terrible starters) 12v electronic ignition, non battery type, so no battery to go flat. New 42mm clubman exhaust, I have fitted a stainless rear mudguard and a few chrome bits. I have a complete set of spare cables which i will include as well as an original owners manual for that series. It has a complete new spare wheel, mounted in rear carrier, which folds down for bags etc. Bad bit The paint isnt brilliant, it has a few scuffs here and there as its been a used scoot and not wrapped up in bubble wrap. New paintwork on this would add a grand to its value, but perfectly useable as is. Anyway im looking for £2100. This is going on fleabay later so thought i would put it on here first. Phil |

Re: 1963 Lambretta Li125 Series 3
But where is the bg of weeds holding the wiring in place ala Clarkson on their Top Gear Vietnam special? Surley its not complete without that!
And an awful lack of mirrors sir, you'd never make it as a mod, lol. bet it sounds good tho, if you brought that to soho one night (yes frigging long way to come on that) and parked it outside Bar Italia with a for sale sign on it you'd have loads of interest mate. http://www.modrevival.net/BarItaliaJan03leaving.jpg from this site.. http://www.modrevival.net/Baritaliasc.html Very nice looking thing that is :) |
Re: 1963 Lambretta Li125 Series 3
I used to be into the scene a bit in my teens, this one had 2 long mirrors on it when i bought it but they looked hideous.
The true purists now go for clean uncluttered looks as like the day they left the factory. When i make it rich im gonna get a top spec SX200 circa £10k, in blue and white. |
Re: 1963 Lambretta Li125 Series 3
 10K for a scoot??? hell, i'd want it to make me breakfast every morning for that sort of money lol.
And she better have a perrrrty zorst pipe too, lol. |
Re: 1963 Lambretta Li125 Series 3
Let me ask Gerry. I'm pretty sure he'd only want an SX200, but presented with a clean genuine Italian Li, which he could ride straight away on a CBT until he does his DAS, and at half the price he'd need to pay for an SX, he might be tempted!
