Three Sisters Charity Rideout

Hi Pennine massive!

I was out a few weeks ago and got given a card for a series of charity rideouts at the three sisters track near wigan, I was planning on attending on august 10th, £5 per 3 laps of the circuit & goes to charity obviously!

Reports say its been good in the past & would be great for any track virgins (like me) to have a bash without feeling pressured, as far as im aware the only restrictions are a road legal bike (and licenced rider), ive yet to hear if leathers are also a requirement as with some tracks.

I realise its a bit away but if we can get a sticky going would be great to have a good turnout from the org, especially for charity.

Add your names if you interested!

So Far we have:

Mister C (coming for a watch)

Lo

Just to give you folks a nod this is mainly a go kart track. Its not very big (but extremely fun in the ice) so 3 laps will go quick, plus theres no way you can go super quick on it.

Karting a laff on it tho.....

For what it's worth, a few of us went to watch Col (Mister C) and his son race at 3 Sisters and it was great. Quite tight and technical with only two main (rather short) straights, this is the layout they use for the bikes...

p.s. I'm interested, but August is ages away!

Yup... a few laps in on the right-hander after the main start/finish straight (due to target fixation if I remember correctly). It was a great day except for that incident which I wasn't going to mention ;)

No, it was down to my gonads not being big enough & thinking I was going too fast lol.
i will be there again this year if i can can get my butt into gear & renew my ACU.
3 Sisters is a fantastic little circuit if you want to learn how to corner. It is a go kart track, but it is ideal for a middleweight bike. The SVs and the 600s go really well around there. A good lap is about 57 to 59 seconds, so not long. I did a 1min 6 seconds on my FZR in my 1st race, it is quite technical, but a lot of fun. I might come down & watch if people are going. :)

I think im looking forward to the day more knowing its more of a technical track than out and out speed, being a noob to the track i think a very fast one would probably give me a good scare!

must remember to get myself some new tyres before then
