Help With P-B Screen Fitting.

1 Attachment(s)
Hey All
I recently bought a DB Screen from Powerbronze for my '03s.
I've fitted it but it doesnt fit properly at the top of the screen either side where the regular screws fit.
Meaning the its the right size but on the inside the plastic doesnt close flush against the screen.
Hope that make sense ill try and get a pic. Has anybody else had this?

TA.

I think mine was like that, where it looks like it isn't tightening up properly at the top?

My MRA screen was marginally better, but not as snug as the stock screen.

Yeah thats the problem where it isn't tight at the top.
ive emailed powerbronze but they're yet to get back to me.
Oh well, hopefully the electrics wont have any problems with liquid getting in.

I don't think it was waterproof with the stock screen in and to be honest, not sure there's that much under there that would be affected..any water would run out underneath anyway.

I think with a bit of jiggling about, mine lined up better, but it was never perfect.

Yep, had that problem with the airblade screen I fitted tother weekend. What you need to do is get a hacksaw or sharp serated knife and cut the plastic down on the inside of the clock surround panel where the top screw goes into (the bit you can see between the gap from the screen/clock surround panel on the left hand side in your picture) the inch or so ribbed cylindrical piece. Hope this helps.

I think my MRA screen is like that too....but i wouldnt say its a large enough gap to really notice.

Bengrrr, my thought was that maybe the screw isnt close enough to the thread to lock into it?

No, the problem is that the piece of plastic that the screw goes in fouls the screen and needs cutting down to make it fit flush.

Nice one at least I know Im not the only one. I'll have to trim the plastics as that is the problem. The original screen has a bend for these screw where it goes back up into the outer faring to make it flush unlike the pb screen. However it looks realy good so don't be put off buying one if your Reading this.
