In ear headphones

Just started listening to music when i ride and lovin' it, but i need to get some new headphones.
Been looking around and have come across 'noise cancelling' ones. Does anyone use these, will they cancel out some of the engine noise, just wondering if they're worth the extra £££'s.
Ta KJ x

JVC Marshmellows are amazing (for the money) .... and IF you're lucky Morrisons occasionally have them for £7 a pair .... I bought a few pairs last time !!!

http://www.skullcandy.com/shop/ink-d-pink.html

There what I use, so comfortable they have a really long warranty on them and if you loose the little rubber bits you can actually get new ones which i didnt seem to be able to find for most of my old ones. HMV had them for about a fiver not to long ago.

And yes mine are pink :D

Noise Cancelling SHOULD be of a benefit on a bike, they are very good at filtering that kind of noise.

However they are expensive, and in my experience headphones in lids have a short life-span (well shorter than normal) due ti a bit more strain on the leads when putting on/taking off your lid.

So get a pair of cheap headphones - the Skull Candy ones were good, and you can get them even cheaper on eBay...

As above. Mine have ben used loads and no problems at all. I even go to sleep (at night) with them in and wake up in the morning with them all tangled up and no problems.
I do however wear a headover over my ears when wearing headphones as it makes taking the helmet off a lot less painful.

Kelly, seriously, you won't look back once you've used these. I got a new pair at Chrimbo. Not because there was anything wrong with the old pair, just I wanted some with a separate volume control so I could wack the sound down without faffing with the ipod.
