How tight is right? Fitting exhaust clamps.
 
OK, so I've fitted my shiny new street extreme can and it sounds lovely :D

The problem is, I'm a right cack handed old sod and always over tighten things - like to the point of snapping bolts.

So I'm scared that I might over tighten the Jubilee clips and end up bending the original pipe or the link pipe. Is this possible? I really have no touch for this sort of thing and can only service my bike using the beauty of torque settings!

I daresn't take her out yet in case they are too loose and the dam thing falls off ...

Not really. Try about 10Nm

If anything fails it will be the bolt on the clamp.

Ok thats reassuring.....when i saw this i had a horrible feeling i may have over tightened but....thankfully not :p
