Accessories and part exchange.
I am hopefully going to be trading my SV in for something a little saucier this weekend or next and am wondering what to do about the extras I have accrued on my bike.
I have a gel seat and a Beowulf exhaust and my dad is saying that they will add nothing to the price offered to me by the dealership so I would be better off, sticking my old can (Beowulf do a coupler or something that will allow this) and seat back on and selling my bits on Ebay. Is this worth my while? I want to save money obviously, but if the dealership is likely to offer me a few quid extra for these parts then i'm likely to go the lazy route and not bother. -Peace |
Re: Part-ex
I agree with your Dad and how much for the seat if its for a curvy!:)

Re: Part-ex
I agree with your dad too, those seats are flipping expensive too. Would have thought it'd get snapped up on here.

Re: Part-ex
Dealer will probably prefer the bike as standard as possible, and then sell the items separately ....

Re: Accessories and part exchange.
If the price is right I'd be interested in a pointy gel seat.

Re: Accessories and part exchange.
dealers want standard bikes, the mods might even devalue your bike in a dealers eyes.
