Curvy starting problems

When I start my bike in the morning from cold it runs fine for 3 or 4 seconds and then cuts out. If I rise the revs as i start it and hold them up for 10 seconds it runs fine. The bike has new plugs and is restricted.
Whats the cause of this?

You could try balance the carbs, sometimes that affects cold starting like that.

but the problem you describe is so common as to be virtually a characteristic of most bike engine... they start, then the speed reduces, then they cough and stop. Pop the choke on for 5 seconds and they run fine.

Mine does that with choke. Always starts and pops and dies, then sorts itself out and runs okay? But its always a couple of attempts to reach that stage. Never been happy about it doing that either.
