GSX-R Front End Parts
Looking to do the swap after getting pulled out on, and my bike resulting in having bent forks amongst other little bits.
Ideally I'm after the front forks from a GSX-R600 from '00 to '03 as most things are compatible with that - however if a whole set is going for other years, I'd be happy to give them a go! Ps. I'm only going by this (http://www.gregoryli.com/2007/06/gsx...wap-parts.html) so if you know that something is compatible that's not on that list, let me know! :) |
Re: GSX-R Front End Parts
K1-3 600 are good value, good internals but not upside down so bit cheaper.
You want whole front end from one of those. |
Re: GSX-R Front End Parts
I have an entire K7 750 front end in excellent condition currently attached to my K5 SV650. It's listed in the for sale section and I will sell the front end for £2500 and I'll throw in the rest of the SV and a bunch of spare parts for free :)

Re: GSX-R Front End Parts
Kind offer, but I'm after repairing the front end on the cheap for the time being rather than take on a whole other bike :p

Re: GSX-R Front End Parts
Yeah but that price is p*sstake for what you get... you need entire front end.

Re: GSX-R Front End Parts
Any idea what reasonable price-range I should be looking for?
Just had one motorcycle breakers quote me £700 for a front end! |
Re: GSX-R Front End Parts
Forks 80
yokes 50 mudguard 40 wheel 80 discs 100-150 spindle 10 calipers you already got |
Re: GSX-R Front End Parts
In my experience:-
Forks, yokes (top/bottom/stem) = £225 - £300 Wheel = £100 - £150 Discs = £100 - £150 Mudguard £35 - £50 Spindle = £10 - £15 Calipers = £60 - £95 Master cylinder £25 - £35 You'll probably also need longer lines and might be worth trying to get the ignition thrown in as well if you can as you can swap out the barrel from your SV and re-use the Gixer ignition so that it fits the top yoke properly. |
Re: GSX-R Front End Parts
If he is looking at K1-K3 stuff the SV ignition works perfectly as designed :)
