Anyone know anything about dic.......taphones?
My dad needs one as he can't get to grips with the one he has.
It needs to be easy to operate and easy to put onto disc so he can listen to it in the car. He also needs it to be able to record over part of a previous recording (ie listen to a recording, don't like part of it, rewind to the point you don't like, press record and record over it). Decent quality goes without saying and decent reviews would also help it's cause. Cheers in advance |

"May I use your dictaphone?"
"No. Use your finger like everyone else." |

argos catalogue is your friend and with a 16day money back or exchange policy he can use it and see if it suits his purpose and change or return it if not.

no idea whether your father has a disability, but that's irrelevant - these guys do some great easy-to-use kit and some of it's quite techy as well
http://onlineshop.rnib.org.uk/browse...c=285&it=1&l=3 I'm down there next week if you want me to check anything out for you. |
Re: Anyone know anything about dic.......taphones?
I use my phone, an N series Nokia. I downloaded some software off the net and Voila. I can upload to the PC and burn to disc if I want. And it'll record phone calls very discreetly... useful.

Jab - Your forgiven
CG - Cheers, I'll take a look at it now. Cee - Not much use, it needs certain features and I think buying a phone would be just as or more expensive than buying a decent Dictaphone. |

We use Olympus kit for ease of use. They tend to get used by specialist nursing staff, and they get on with them really well (the consultants here either use tape and pass it to their secretary) or use speech recognition) http://www.olympus.co.uk/consumer/2581_2620.htm
