RSBS-Blackpool 25/4 anyone going?

Anyone off to the ride Safe Back Safe thingy bob this year?

I wouldn't have anything to to with RSBS as I am opposed to their existence and the sooner these types of quangoesc organisations are disbanded and money saved put into making things better for road users the better.

SLAM should know better than to get involved with RSBS.

Ridesafe backsafe pretends to be a bikers organisation to promote motorcycle safety. It is however part of the same organisations established to sell us points on our licences.

They pretend to be part of a wider biking community and as pat of this pretence organise activities such as this one in Blackpool

I'm guessing thats because it's operated by local plod, like most bikesafe schemes. I think these sort of schemes are a good start though, as its always worth getting feedback from other riders.

i've been to several rendezvous and also been on an rider assesment day at lancashire constabulary. i thouroughly enjoyed the day there and met police motorcycle riders and the chaps from slam to which i signed up for a skills for life course.
it may not be everyones cup of tea, and thats okay, but i wouldn't describe ridesafe backsafe as a type of wolf in lambs clothing.
