New SV650S tyres

Hi,

I'm looking to get a new pair of tyres for my 2001 SV. I do a mixture of around town riding and fast road riding - no track days or commuting. I'm tempted to give the new BT023 a go, but what is the general opinion (if there is one) on the best tyres for this use?

Cheers

Avon Storms are good I reckon. They do everything I ask of them.

Metzeler z6's are good, I've got em

Someone else posted up about Maxxis tyres being good too. £100 for a pair too

Have a read of the tyre section, plenty of threads on this subject

I love the avon storms, made a brilliant difference when I switched to them from dunlop d208r's last summer. Since, I've ridden them in most weathers and I'm on my second set, also had them on the track (wet & dry), ok I'm not the fastest but I still believe in them over the previous tyres which were sold to me as 'super sticky sports tyres'.

Avon storms are good, but im now running vp2 supersports and find them to be excellent. Not sure about life yet, I'll write out a review when the rear gets to the wear markers. They work well when cold and grip like nothing i've ever felt when warmed up. Wet grip is pretty reasonable too, I've not had any problems

I run Pilot Road 2's, but check the tyre section.
