Arlen Ness 8308 1 Piece Suit

Hi

I went to my local HG in Glasgow last weekend to try on some leathers. Main reason for getting a set is I eventually want to do track days, my HG Gore Tex textiles are too hot in the spring/summer weather and I think leathers look cool lol

I have never owned or tried leathers before so its all a bit new to me. Thankfully the kind chap helped me out with sizing etc guessing my exact size before I tried anything on. Apparently am a size 40 in off the peg leathers.

I liked the look of the Aren Ness 8308 1 Piece suit. First impressions is the damn thing weighs a tonne. Just lifting it off the peg was a workout lol. After several minutes of shoe horning myself in I eventually got them on and zipped up. Walking like Robocop a go have a gander in the mirror. Am thinking they feel quite tight on but the assistant said that’s normal as you need to break them in before they start to shape to your body. Its quite a racey suit and it makes your stance feel that way too. They were surprisingly comfortable on too. I also tried on a Knox Aegis back protector too and I could move without restriction although a bit tight but that'll go with wear. Trying to get the thing back off again was nigh on impossible. I nearly fell out the changing cubicle struggling to set my arms free lol. Think you need snake like movements to get outta these things.

All in all I thin the suit is the one for me ans the look and feel was quality. Before I shell out 700 bangers for it is there anything I should be aware of and most importantly anywhere I can get it slightly cheaper as everywhere I checked is around £699.

Pic Below

Thanks in advance..:)

I like the Arlen Ness stuff, but not bought any yet :D. My HG Tribals are still going strong 8 years later... I will be getting two piece though as I only ride on the road.

One thing about one piece leathers (especially if they are tight) make sure you go to the toilet BEFORE putting them on! :-s

Have you considered a 2 piece? Most find them more convenient if it is mainly road riding, and there is no problem with them on track as long as they have the 360 degree zip (most do)
