Clip ons / Risers (again)

I have been reading through all the posts on people fitting risers and it has got my attention. I really do suffer with sore wrists when on an extended ride and I was wondering if anyone had any experience of the risers that Banditmania do?

They look good, and don't involve changing any cables or brake lines.

I have also seen the comfort kits from 998cc, but they involve major surgery and I think the replacement bar looks ugly.

I like the look of mine tbh, i have quite e few people give positive remarks when parked up at bike meets etc

I rode Ralph's sv last night with his clip ons and i had sore wrists after 10 mins, so i could never go back.

How hard was it to do the coversion. I am a bit wary of the cables exchange. I have done braided lines before so that isn't an issue?

I had a similar problem with the wrists but wanted to retain the clipon look so I went the Heli-bar route. I know they are expensive if purchased new but I picked up a set off Ebay at a good price. I did 280 miles in Wales on Sunday with no wrist or arm pain - just one in my wallet - petrol at £1.23 per litre!!

Hope you get it sorted - Steve

Yeah I know what you mean about clip ons. I really do like the look.

Brings me back to these again at Banditmania. They are made specifically for the SV and don't require any modding and are half the price of helibars.

They seem pretty good mate, I would have liked to have tried them before my conversion.

Well I have gone for the Banditmania risers option despite a very good price from 998cc.com for their comfort kit. Anyway I post when I have got them fitted and give people my thoughts!

Matt,

I am trying this fix first purely based on cost. If it is no go I will be straight back on the phone to you!

No probs, as you know we do really good deals for you guys on here, just use the discount code that this forum knows.

I would tell you the code again but we are having people use it for non SV parts who are not members just internet trawlers which isnt on.
