Where should I be spraying ACF50 on my pointy K4?
Hi there,
Now that the sun has finally come out, I thought it's about time that I give it a good wash and polish. I was thinking of applying some ACF-50 to make sure it's protected against corrosion as I hear sv's get a little furry if exposed too long to the elements. I haven't applied ACF-50 before and am wondering where the problematic areas are that should I be looking to apply it? Any ideas? |

Anywhere you like so long as its not on the brakes or brake disks. Spray everything electrical and steel.

After a good wash I normally spray it liberally (avoids the bit mentioned in earlier posts!) to the engine, suspension and frame. Let it soak for a bit whilst you polish the frame and bodywork with it. Run the engine or go for a short ride to heat up the engine - the heat will cause the liquid to burn off leaving a residue over the engine that will protect the bike for months at a time. The fumes off the hot engine also coat everything inaccessible plus it smells kinda good too.
I have used ACF50 for a few years and it works a charm! Bike is clean and corrosion free after 6 years heavy use. Well recommended! |
